Chico State was recently awarded a $5.4 million grant via the Learning-Aligned Employment Program (LAEP; information in link here). This eligibility-determined grant covers the salaries for undergraduate researchers who work with faculty conducting a variety of research projects. Faculty and staff who are interested in funding for student researchers can join us for an informational meeting on either Tuesday, Nov 7th, 2:30-3:30, via Zoom or in-person on Monday, Nov 13, 11:00-12:00 in the Career Center, SSC 270. We will provide information about the LAEP program and answer questions related to next steps in the process: drafting job descriptions, working with the career center, identifying eligible students. We will leave time for questions. This program is ideal for faculty who do not have grants that support undergraduate research assistants. The program is not open to graduate students, but is intended to support undergraduates, particularly undergraduates from underserved communities. Thank you in advance for considering this opportunity to join us on Nov 7 (2:30-3:30 via Zoom) or Nov 13 (11:00-12:00 in SSC 270). Please RSVP using this brief google form: LINK HERE. We will send the Zoom link to respondents who choose the Zoom option. Feel free to reach out with questions to Rachel Mason or Kim Jaxon via our LAEP email: laep@csuchico.edu
