FDEV Workshop - Culturally Responsive Teaching

The Equity, Diversity, Inclusion Teaching (EDIT) Series is offering a culturally responsive teaching workshop centering on the concept of culturally responsive teaching. In it, we will consider the ways curricula can unintentionally reinforce structural inequalities and create classroom equity gaps through what we sometimes refer to as the "hidden curriculum." Likewise, we will discuss how to address those equity gaps by centering students' cultural knowledge, aligning teaching strategies to speak to and empower our students, and diversifying course content and structure.
