FDEV Workshops - Community Building

Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, 3:30–5 p.m.

The Equity, Diversity, Inclusion Teaching (EDIT) Series is offering a community building workshop that focuses on methods for building an inclusive and welcoming classroom environment. In it, we will discuss why community building is a critical component in working toward equitable and student-centered pedagogy, and will consider how the themes of earlier workshops–positionality, constructing class norms, purposeful planning, accessibility, and culturally responsive teaching–all work together to foster teaching strategies that empower our students and help build classroom belonging.
