Stormwater runoff: No filters, just you!

Announced on: Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024

This is a friendly reminder that when stormwater flows, everything goes – to Big Chico Creek, that is. Stormwater often causes water pollution because it picks up harmful materials when it washes across the land. Think oils and grease on the pavement, food wrappers and litter left on the ground, pet waste not bagged and picked up. Stormwater is the largest contributor of water quality pollution to urban waterways in the U.S. Let's do our part and keep our creek clean!
