The recent COVID pandemic raised many ethical and practical concerns in connection with religious beliefs, mores, and history. This symposium aims to explore these issues and examine how they affect policy makers, those who were afflicted by this pandemic and the public at large, whether religious or not. Perhaps most importantly, it will examine policies that may help us to better prepare for future pandemics. The sessions will feature speakers who contributed to the recent publication Religion and Public Health during the Time of COVID-19, edited by Andrew Flescher and Joel Zimbelman, as well as community stakeholders. Speakers: Refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public.
