Have you ever thought about taking your class outside of the classroom? Letting go of the books and diving into a whole new culture first-hand? This is what I did in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Hi, my name is Carli Ross and three years ago I started a Faculty-Led Study Abroad program for Adapted Physical Education. It is a 3-unit 500-level Internship course where Chico State students spend four weeks working for an Adapted Physical Activity Non-Profit Organization in Italy. After three years of going through the process of creating a successful faculty-led program, I would like to share this information with you. I am currently working as a liaison for Study Abroad to help everyone on campus learn more about the Faculty-led program and how to get started.
