Study Abroad in Kenya: Application Workshop

Attending an info session is the first step to start the study abroad process, and this program-specific session will introduce you to study abroad opportunities at Chico State and how to apply to study abroad in Kenya this summer.

Led by Chico State's very own Professor Kimakwa, this program emphasizes the adaptation of entrepreneurial concepts and practices for creating and developing successful social enterprises in a developing country and cultural differences. Students will explore what distinguishes social innovations and how to apply business start-up knowledge, skills, and abilities to accomplish them. In collaboration with Strathmore University in Nairobi, Kenya, students will be able to learn in a different environment to appreciate the role of diversity, culture, and global management. These are skills necessary for today's work environment.
