Free Writing Tutoring Available

You just can't seem to get started on that essay.

You started, but now you're not sure where to go with your essay.

You finished your essay, but does it even make sense?

If any of this sounds like you, then you're not alone. At the Student Learning Center, we have trained and friendly tutors who are ready to help you with different writing tasks including essay assignments, research projects, reports, resumes, and graduate application materials. Tutors can help you understand writing goals and requirements, plan and get started, develop and organize ideas, polish sentences and so much more.

Drop-in hours are Monday-Thursday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm & Friday 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. Sessions may be limited to 30 minutes and students are helped on a first come, first served basis.

One-on-one appointments are available Monday-Thursday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm & Friday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Sessions are 1 hour.

Can't come in? Submit your paper online! To submit your paper for feedback visit our website at https://www.csuchico.edu/slc/writing.shtml. All papers submitted will be returned with feedback within 3-5 business days.

*We also have drop-in writing tutoring in the Meriam Library on the 4th floor Monday-Thursday, 5:00-7:00 PM.
