45th Endangered Species Faire

Saturday, Apr. 20, 2024, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Chico City Plaza (132 W 4th St)
FREE

The Endangered Species Faire is celebrating 50 years of the Endangered Species Act! Everyone is invited to celebrate with a Nature Themed Costume Parade from 10am to 11:30am. The parade will consist of costumes and puppets made by local students that represent many of the Earth's endangered species. The parade will begin at the "Our Hands" sculpture located outside of Chico City Hall and proceed through downtown to the City Plaza where the puppets will be displayed.

There will also be family friendly fun with live music, art, environmental and craft vendors, live animals, and food trucks! Live performances will include Marsh Jr High School Band, a demonstration from Wild Things Wild Life Programs, Chico Community Band, Black Fong and Chico Swing Band. Art and craft vendors will be selling their wares, and environmental vendors will be providing activities and information that appeals to the whole family. When you've worked up an appetite, Tacos El Limón and Lovebird Coffee Co. will be serving food and drinks. Peddle Press will also be onsite from 11am to 2pm to live print shirts for attendees. Bring your own blank shirt or purchase one from BEC. There is a suggested donation of $10 for each shirt printed.
