Camps at the museum offer immersive, interactive experiences to learn about the world around us. This year's camp offers a mashup of history, science, culture & adventure. Week 1 Mollusks, Mummies & Mammoths July 15-18, 2024 Campers will look at water through a variety of perspectives. Explore the ecosystems of forests and oceans seeing how water is the key to life. Meet some keystone species and their habitats. Then explore the ice age through the eyes of Oetzi the 5,000 year old celebrity. What can we discover about the past through ice archaeology? Week 2 Ancient Egypt July 22-25, 2024 Who were the ancient Egyptians? Meet the famous Egyptian blue hippo from the Metropolitan Museum collection and find out about other cool animals of Ancient Egypt. Learn how to paint like an Egyptian. Plus uncover facts and mysteries around the daily life and animal gods of this famous civilization.
