Excelencia in Education has recently published many insightful resources on Latino student success in higher education. These research publications and resources are great for summer study and idea-generating for the upcoming fall term. Check them out! Excelencia's Policy Agenda (May 2024) Good policy is informed by good practice. Excelencia's policy priorities are grounded in the strengths and needs of the Latino community and the evidence-based practices accelerating Latino student success in the current higher education context. Excelencia released an updated policy agenda to progress current efforts to improve outcomes for Latino students. Latinos in Higher Education 2024 Compilation of Fast Facts (April 2024) An analysis that provides a detailed profile on Latino students and the institutions where they choose to enroll to inform policy and mobilize action. Advancing What Works to Intentionally Serve Latino Students: Opportunities for Action (April 2024) This compendium of evidence-based programs shows what is possible when programs and institutions meet student needs with intentionality. Highlighted programs address five critical areas: student and family engagement, first year experiences, bilingualism enhancing academic and career connections, building career pathways, and gender-based learning communities to support success. Growing What Works Database (updated annually) An online, searchable resource for practitioners, institutional leaders, funders, and policymakers interested in evidence-based practices that accelerate Latino student success in higher education. Finding Your Workforce Series (research releases; February-March 2024) A series that represents the latest extension of Excelencia's hallmark work of bringing national attention to higher education institutions and practices advancing Latino talent, strengthening our economy, and ensuring America's future.
