Hybrid Wilderness First Responder

Interested in learning how to manage emergencies in wilderness environments? Register for the Hybrid Wilderness First Responder course by Saturday, May 25th!

Wilderness First Responder is the industry standard for outdoor professionals but is open to anyone who works or plays in the outdoors! This course prepares students to be leaders during emergencies in the backcountry. The class will include 3 days worth of online modules, followed by 5 days of in-person sessions from May 28th to June 1st and is comprised of classroom and hands-on, scenario-based learning.

Curriculum includes:

• 72 Hour Course
• Major and Minor Trauma
• Environmental Hazards
• Medical Issues in the Backcountry
• Incident Command Concepts
• Patient Care as a Team
• How to Plan Ahead and Prepare
• Packing a First Aid Kit
