Handshake 101-Sept. 20

Handshake is the job database platform used by the Career Center & Student Employment Office to post all on-campus state-side student employee positions (in addition to off-campus part-time positions, internships, and career positions). The platform is also used for Faculty Affairs and Success positions (i.e. Instructional Student Assistant, Graduate Assistant, Teacher Assistant), along with Chico State Enterprises.

Join us for an introduction to Handshake while learning tips and tricks to make managing your Handshake account easier. After taking this training you should be able to:

• Set-up a New Account
• Post a Job
• View/Renew Expired Jobs
• Understand Job Descriptions and how they determine Classification of pay
• Add Attachments
• Set up "Automated Messaging to Applicants"
• Leave a department and get connected to another department on Handshake

Audience: Student Attendance Assistants, Administrative Analysts/Specialists, HR Liaisons, or anyone involved in the hiring process.
