Join the East Wing and Meriam Library in celebrating Banned Books Week from September 23-27, as we highlight the freedom to read in the face of censorship. The centers in the East Wing has decorated their doors so stop by to check it out!
One of the week's featured events is Banned & Brilliant: A Collage-Making Workshop with special guest Stef Baldivia, a resourceful librarian from our campus. Stef will provide insight into the topic of banned books, with our collage activity focused on Maya Angelou's powerful book, "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings".
Everyone is welcome to participate—no prior reading or knowledge is needed. Food and all creative materials will be provided!
