Alex Perkins, PhD, Associate Professor of Infectious Disease Epidemiology at the University of Notre Dame will visit Chico State to speak about the challenges of Mosquito-borne disease, public health, and uses of mathematical modeling applied to the epidemiology of infectious disease.

The goal of this research is to attain a predictive understanding of where and when these diseases occur, the impact of interventions in curtailing their burden, and advance capability for prevention of mosquito-borne and other disease.
