This session will explore how Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) can create spaces of belonging amidst the rising bias, hate, and extremism in the U.S. We'll dive into a new toolkit, focusing on how students, staff, faculty, and administrators can harness their own strengths to build comunidad and foster a sense of servingness at their institutions.

Join us for an insightful workshop led by two distinguished presenters:

  • Christian A. Bracho; Assistant Professor, California State University, Long Beach and Associate Vice President of Praxis, Alliance of Hispanic Serving Institution Educators (AHSIE)
  • Marylin Rodriguez, Deputy Director of Training & Partnership Development, Polarization and Extremism Research Innovation Lab (PERIL); and expert in adult learning and educational leadership
