Launching the Wildcat Data Hub!

Dear Campus Community,

We're excited to introduce the Wildcat Data Hub (WDH), a new research support service sponsored by the Data Science Initiative at Chico State. The WDH is here to help you do your research better and faster by providing direct support throughout all aspects of the data lifecycle—from collection and cleaning to analysis, visualization, and modeling.

The Wildcat Data Hub offers data science and statistical consulting for both students and faculty researchers, with a focus on providing student analyst support under faculty supervision. Whether you're a student working on a project or a faculty member pursuing research, our team is here to assist with your data needs.

Services offered by the WDH include:

• Data collection, cleaning, visualization, and analysis

• Programming support for R, Python, and SQL

• Statistical modeling, machine learning, and data wrangling

• Personalized assistance for short- and long-term research projects, with free drop-in consultations and coding support

Our mission is to provide valuable, hands-on learning experiences for students while supporting research and data-driven initiatives on campus. We will soon be putting out a call for faculty affiliates interested in mentoring student analysts and being part of the consulting side of the hub.
