Are you within the College of BSS and have a research project that could benefit from additional support? Partner with a motivated BSS student to bring new insights and energy to your work while nurturing the next generation of scholars. If you're working on an active project and know a student eager to gain hands-on research experience, consider seeking out that student who wants to get the experience, but is afraid to take the leap. This is more of a research assistantship, help expose them to the wonderful world of research. All we ask is that you offer students guidance, support, and expertise throughout each stage of the research process, including project design, data collection, analysis, and presentation. Program Highlights Application Deadline: November 22, 2024 Program Dates: Mid-February to mid-April 2025 Faculty Benefits: Faculty mentors will receive up to $1,048 for each student mentored Faculty mentors must have a current, active research project for students to contribute to. Engage in research aligned with your expertise Complete the Faculty Application: Submit a separate application for each student by November 22, 2024, even if they collaborate on the same project. Faculty may nominate two students, whether on separate projects or working together; however, each student is considered individually, and some team members may be selected while others may not. A separate application is required for each student. Eligible students must be Hispanic/Latinx and/or low-income, Chico State sophomores, juniors, or seniors majoring in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, and U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
