Dr. Jinsong Zhang & Dr. Kun Zhang - Presentation today in Meriam Library!

At 3:00pm today (11/4) in Meriam Library's Innovation Lab (2nd floor) Dr. Kun Zhang (Civil Engineering) and Dr. Jinsong Zhang (Chemistry and Biochemistry) will present the results of their Lantis Award.

Dr. Jinsong Zhang and Dr. Kun Zhang were received the Lantis University Professor award in 2020. With their Lantis funding they were able to create and assess a road pothole-patching material that is made from used cooking oil, plastic and reclaimed asphalt. The project created a sustainable and practical solution for road maintenance and engaged a number of collaborators in the North State including Smart Alternative Fuels, Northern Recycling & Waste Services and the City of Chico.
