Announced on: Wednesday, Nov. 06, 2024

Undergraduate Education and Academic Success has recently developed a post-baccalaureate, online certificate program in Leadership and Equity in Higher Education. The certificate will be offered beginning fall 2025. There are openings to hire qualified faculty to teach two new courses for the certificate, UNIV 630 Research in College Equity and Success and UNIV 640 Equity in Higher Education Capstone, starting in fall 2025. Both courses will be designed and taught as online, asynchronous eight-week three-unit courses. Course descriptions and learning outcomes for the courses may be found here UNIV 630. UNIV 640.

Faculty teaching in the certificate will be hired through an additional employment contract. Additional pay is based on enrollments and rank and is subject to the 125% additional employment restrictions. FERP faculty are not eligible for additional employment.

In addition, faculty teaching courses in this certificate will participate in a spring 2025 FLC to design their courses and work collaboratively to build a cohesive approach to the certificate curriculum.

If you are interested in teaching UNIV 630 and/or UNIV 640, please submit a CV and letter of interest, including a short description of your approach to, and qualifications for, teaching the course(s), and experience with inclusive and anti-racist pedagogies. Please consult with your department chair before applying, and indicate whether you could teach a section in Fall 2025 and/or Spring 2026. Part-time lecturer faculty will be asked to complete an application to our part-time lecturer pool.

Please apply by November 22, 2024 by emailing your CV and letter of interest to eertle@csuchico.edu.
