Get Psyched! Virtual Speaker Series with Dr. Scarlett Yang

The Get Psyched! Virtual Speaker Series, hosted by the Psychology department, features guest speakers who share their research, background, career path, and field of work in basic and applied psychology.

November's speaker is Dr. Scarlett Yang, an expert in cross-cultural psychology and the psychology of women. Dr. Yang is Intensive Care Coordinator at AACI Behavioral Health, and chair-elect for the Division of Southeast Asian Americans (DoSEAA) of the Asian American Psychological Association.

A Hmong American woman and first-generation student, Dr. Yang's interests lie in providing psychoeducation on mental health and its impact on criminal justice involvement within the Hmong community and implementing racial, social, and restorative justice into her clinical work.

The event is held on zoom and is open to everyone!
