It’s that time of year again, but it looks a little different this time! We are excited to reach out to invite you to our Virtual Graduate & Professional School WEEK, September 13 – 17th. This week-long event, hosted by our Chico State Career Center & Office of Graduate Studies, will be in place of our traditional fair for this Fall 2021. The biggest difference for this year is the cost is FREE. Sign-ups are now open! Here’s what to expect:
- A week-long Graduate & Professional School event with workshops & Information Sessions
- Opportunity to recruit exceptional Chico State students & alumni through Virtual Info Sessions
- Flexibility in when you offer your Virtual Info Sessions throughout the week
- Extensive promotion & marketing of the programs & workshops for student attendance

If you have attended one of our past Graduate Fairs, your school’s Handshake account has been updated to allow for you to “post events.” If for some reason we missed you and you are not able to post an event, please contact our Events and Assessments Coordinator, Liliana Valdes @ lvaldes@csuchico.edu, to quickly update your account to "post events" with our school
How to Sign-up
When setting your virtual event, please use the following date range so students can easily find your event during our Grad & Prof. School Week (from 10am 9/13 - 2pm 9/17, 2021). While you will set up a week-long event, you are only committing to the days/times specified within the description of the event (see example below).
STEP 1: Create your “Virtual Session” in Handshake by September 3rd for Chico State to best market your sessions
STEP 2: In Handshake, click on "Events" from the left menu column
STEP 3: Click on "Request Event" in the top right corner
STEP 4: Input your event details following the format below:
Event Name: School Name, Program(s) - Info Sessions
Event Type: "Virtual: My company is hosting this event virtually"
Web Host URL: This is where students will go to attend your session(s). Please enter your personal Zoom link here.
*NOTE: This one link will be used throughout the week for students to access your sessions listed in the "description" section below.
School: select "California State University Chico"

lvaldes@csuchico.edu Contacts: If there is a dedicated employee at your company who should be the point person for this event, select their name. Multiple contacts may be added here.
Start date: Monday, September 13th 2021 (10am)
End date: Friday, September 17th 2021 (2pm)
*NOTE: the date range is the length of the week’s event and will allow for students to find you easily. You will list your specific days/times available in the “description” section (example below).
Description: Please list each day & time(s) in this section that you will be available for students to meet with you. There is no limit for how much you'd like to be available. This is also the section to include school/program descriptions. Format example:
Monday: 8am-9am, 2pm-3pm
Tuesday: 8am-9am, 1pm-3pm
Wednesday: 1-3pm
Thursday: 8am-11am, 2pm-3pm
Friday: N/A
