Trans* and/or Gender Non-binary Wardrobe for Wildcats Application
Program Description
The Chico State Career Center is offering one-time SPRING 2020 funding to support Trans* and/or Gender Non-binary students building their professional wardrobe. This application is private and will only be shared with necessary CSU, Chico administrators. Please note that students who are awarded money will be required to report personal information to financial aid to follow proper financial aid/tax regulations. If you currently receive financial aid, accepting funding may affect your financial aid award. Please apply; you can always refuse funding if the professional attire award negatively affects your financial aid award.
This application closes on April 30th, 2020. $100-$500 Awards will be disbursed throughout the spring 2020 semester on a rolling financial need & first-come, first-served need basis. If selected, you will pick up your award from the Chico State Career Center (SSC 270).
Who can apply?
If you identify as Trans* and/or Gender Non-binary CSU, Chico student and you need support building a professional wardrobe, we encourage you to apply.
How will I know if I’m selected?
If selected, a CSU, Chico Career Center administrator will privately email and/or call your provided contact information. If you are not selected, you will be emailed one-time with “decline/non-award” letter from the Career Center.
Is my application information private?
Yes. Your application information is held privately and only shared with CSU, Chico campus administrators necessary to disburse income to students (i.e. Career Center, Financial Aid, Chico State Enterprises, etc.)

Can I bring a support person to my award meeting?
Absolutely. If awarded, please bring a support person to celebrate your award!
Why is this fund only offered for the Spring 2020 semester?
The CSU, Chico Career Center applied for one-time use Student Affairs funding to support Trans* and/or Gender Non-binary students. The funding must be exhausted by the end of the spring 2020 semester. Funding requests may be fully funded, partially funded, or declined depending on an applicant’s financial need, strength of application materials, and the availability of funds. Approved students will schedule a meeting with a Career Center staff to select funding options (i.e. professional clothier gift cards) Our goal is to re-apply for future funding!
