Wardrobe for Wildcats Application

Program Description:

The Chico State Career Center is offering CSU, Chico students, who are in pursuit of a professional opportunity and require financial assistance, the opportunity to apply for one-time funding! Funding requests may be fully funded, partially funded, or declined depending on the applicant's financial need, the strength of application, and the availability of funds.

Please note that students who are awarded money will be required to report personal information to financial aid to follow proper financial aid/tax regulations. If you currently receive financial aid, accepting funding may affect your financial aid award. Please apply; you can always refuse funding if the Wardrobe for Wildcats award negatively affects your financial aid award.

Who can apply?

All currently enrolled CSU, Chico students can apply. Determination of who receives funding will be based on the applicant’s financial need, strength of application materials, and availability of funds.

How will I know if I’m selected?

If selected, a Chico State Career Center administrator will privately email and/or call your provided contact information. If you are not selected, you will be emailed at the end of the academic year with a “decline/non-award” letter from the Career Center.

Is my application information private?

Yes. Your application information is held privately and only shared with CSU, Chico campus administrators necessary to disburse income to students (i.e. Career Center, Financial Aid, Chico State Enterprises, etc.)

How do I apply?

Apply Here(opens in new window). The Wardrobe for Wildcats Application committee reviews applications on an “as needed” basis throughout each academic year.

• Students can apply every year they are enrolled at CSU, Chico.
• Applications submitted in prior academic years will be discarded, as students are encouraged to submit applications yearly.
• If your application was not selected during the current academic year, please re-apply the following year to ensure a current application. 

Students will only be awarded funding from the Career Center Wardrobe for Wildcats one-time during the pursuit of their undergraduate or graduate degree.

Where does this funding come from and how does it work?

All funds are provided by our generous donors! Funding requests may be fully funded, partially funded, or declined depending on an applicant’s financial need, strength of application materials, and the availability of funds. Approved students will schedule a meeting with a Career Center staff to select funding options (i.e. professional clothier gift cards)
