Mission Statement
El Centro Resource Center is a unique and tangible manifestation of Chico State’s unwavering commitment to being an exceptional Hispanic-serving institution. Our primary focus is fostering student success and achieving outstanding Latine student retention. Our mission is to create an empowering and inclusive environment that not only honors heritage and cultivates leadership but also eradicates barriers that hinder students from reaching their full potential. We are here to ensure that Chico State’s Latine students not only survive but thrive on their educational journey.

El Centro de Chico State emphasizes three key pillars that directly support student success and retention:

Our services, including early career exploration and preparation, and access to university career services, are designed to bridge the gap between academics and students' careers.
