"Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope." -Maya Angelou
Faith Yah
Cultural Programmer
Faith Yah is a recent Chico State graduate and a first year Master of Social Work student with a passion for building community and creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, and supported. As a proud Hmong American, Faith values creating spaces where students can proudly embrace their identities and find community.
Over her time at Chico State, Faith has found a second home in the APIDA Resource Center and the rest of the East Wing. Whether she's planning programs or simply having conversations in the center space, she loves creating opportunities for people to connect. She is a proud alumna of the CSC²/MESA Program, ETS, and Omicron Theta Epsilon Biology Honors Society. She is also a sister of Delta Xi Phi Multicultural Sorority Inc., where she's found true lifelong connections.
Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to concerts, or playing with her dog Remi. She believes life is about making memories with the people you love. As she begins her master's in social work, Faith is excited to continue serving the APIDA community and helping other students find their home in the center.
