Joanna (Jojo) Carranza

Jojo was born in Palo Alto, California, and raised in East Palo Alto and Redwood City until she moved to Corning, California for her Freshman year of High School. She is the second oldest out of nine siblings and spent a great deal of time helping watch over them. Growing up, she had a passion for sports, whether it was to play in them or watch and enjoy the game. This helped Jojo realize over the years that her career would stem from health care, as she is now pursuing to become an Athletic Trainer or Physical Therapist. She started her education journey at Butte College, where she graduated with her AA in Kinesiology, and is now working on her bachelor's, majoring in Exercise Physiology here at Chico State.
