Cross-Cultural Leadership Center

Mia Rose Kirby

Inclusion Coordinator

Mia is a 3rd year majoring in Sociology. She was born in Long Beach, CA, and raised in Apple Valley, CA. She decided to move to Chico to get out of her comfort zone and experience different cultures while she starts this new journey of her life. After visiting Chico for the first time, she fell in love with trees and the energy that Chico State has.

Some of Mia’s interests are cooking, listening to music, traveling, and finding cool little, quirky coffee shops. She is very passionate about Social Change and making sure everyone is treated equally with respect to each other’s differences. This is why she joined the Cross-Cultural Leadership Center (CCLC) to help grow the diversity and the welcomeness of the different cultures that we have at Chico State. She wants to be a leader in helping create a community of inclusiveness that allows everyone to celebrate their culture.
