Juanwon Anderson-Verdell

Para Professional

Juanwon Anderson Verdell is a 2nd year double majoring in multicultural gender studies and communications. He was born and raised in Inglewood, California. He is very passionate about mentoring the youth because he believes everyone has a natural gift in life but when we go outside and we get influenced and pressured and lose track of our goals. This why he joined the Cross-Cultural Leadership Center (CCLC)  to be that bridge builder for our inner city students to come to college to see a different perspective in life. His Freshman year he completed the CCLC internship, and graduated from Men of Chico.

Now as a sophomore, he is a Paraprofessional at the CCLC and also the youngest staff member at 18 years old. His goal for this year is to keep challenging his own comfort zone and yours too. Because we here at the CCLC role model the behaviors we wished to see and others. A quote Juanwon lives by  “Luck is just being prepared at all times so when the door opens you're ready - NIP$EY HU$$LE
