Lead Para Professional

Selena is a 5th year student currently majoring in Social Work and double minoring in Multicultural Gender Studies and Gender and Sexualities Studies. She aspires to become a Social Worker who can challenge, change, and bring in new perspectives to the world of social justice, while creating new opportunities for people and expanding her horizons. Selena attended her first CCLC Diversity Summit during her Sophomore year and ever since then, she has been a part of many CCLC programs and events as a participant, facilitator, and ally. Now as a lead paraprofessional, Selena aspires to create transformational opportunities for students while supporting, uplifting and empowering them. Just like the CCLC, she believes in the potential of its students and empowering them to create the change they wish to see in themselves.

Selena’s goal for this year is to highlight and support marginalized voices/communities on campus. She is ready to learn more, do more, and be more. One of her favorite quotes is, “I stand on the sacrifices of a million women before me thinking what can I do to make this mountain taller so the women after me can see farther ”  legacy - rupi kaur.
