Krystle Tonga

Assistant Director

Krystle Tonga has worked in Higher Education for the past 10 years focusing on Diversity and Inclusion at the collegiate levels. As the Assistant Director for the Cross-Cultural Leadership Center at California State University, Chico, Krystle has been able to develop strategies to enhance diversity and inclusion across campus from the classroom to transformational co-curricular experiences that help to build self-confidence, self-efficacy, and resiliency in students, faculty, and staff. By educating and promoting inclusive practices that promote and enhance the experience of under-represented and marginalized communities at the faculty, staff and student level, Krystle is able to enhance the work of diversity, equity and inclusion at Chico State.

Additionally, her passion continues with her work with the Alliance for Education Solutions as the Director of Training. Her focus is to train and empower youth with a cross-generational and cross-cultural approach to improving the life circumstances on young people. Youth are powerful and it is important to provide access and a platform to have that voice be heard.
