The North State Benefits Enrollment Center (NSBEC) is a partnership between Passages and the CHC. It assists low-income seniors and people with disabilities to understand and apply for special benefits that may improve their quality of life.

How can NSBEC help?
NSBEC connects low-income seniors and people with disabilities to special benefit programs that may help. These benefits include:
- Help with utility costs (LIHEAP)
- Food (CalFresh)
- Medi-Cal
- Medicare support
- Extra Help with Prescription Drugs [Part D Low-Income Subsidy(opens in new window) (LIS)]
- Help with medical costs [Medicare Savings Programs(opens in new window) (MSPs)]
About NSBEC
NSBEC is one of 69 benefit enrollment centers (BECs) around the country established by the National Council on Aging (NCOA). BECs have helped over 400,000 seniors and people with disabilities since their foundation in 2009 and are funded by the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Acts (MIPPA).
