Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) is a form of nutrition counseling offered by CHC to help people manage particular health conditions. The Center for Healthy Communities MNT staff includes Registered Dietitians and Nutrition Education Specialists who provide MNT for weight management, pre and post-gastric bypass, diabetes, kidney disorders, heart health, hypertension, and other conditions and diseases that can improve greatly with good nutrition. Combined work experience for MNT staff includes service in hospitals, dialysis centers, public health departments, universities, community colleges, K-12 schools, community-based nonprofit agencies, and worksite wellness programs in private businesses.
CHC provides nutrition education for both individuals and families.
Nutrition experts help people make changes in nutrition, exercise, overall lifestyle, and attitudes that support healthy living. With guidance from our staff through the entire process, participants set their own goals for making desired life changes. Our staff is willing to work with individuals and families to find an approach that works.
