Paid Student Employment

After Completing a CHC internship, students are welcome to apply for a paid student position. Paid positions are similar to CHC internships. Student employees generally continue to build on the foundation of their internship and often take on additional duties and responsibilities. 

Requirements to Apply

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 units of undergraduate courses or 4 units of graduate courses at CSU, Chico and be in good academic standing. Students on academic probation are not eligible to apply.
  • Applicants who need to complete internship hours to meet a graduation requirement can not be paid by CHC.
  • Applicants must have successfully completed the CHC orientation training and required internship hours. CHC requires students to complete a minimum of: 1) 135 internship hours (3 units) in one semester or 2) 90 internship hours each semester for two semesters (totaling 4 units). In rare cases, we may be able to pay an applicant prior to the completion of required internship hours on a special need/special skill basis.
  • Applicants must provide a minimum availability of 10 hours per week (Mon - Fri, 8am - 5pm)

Application Instructions

The application is a Microsoft Word fill-in form. Please complete the form electronically. You can then print and deliver to the CHC office inbox (25 Main St, Ste 101)  or you can submit it by e-mail to the CHC Student Staff Coordinator (contact information below). Please note that we do require a resume to accompany any new employment application form. Incomplete applications will be returned to the applicant. Applicants will not be considered until a complete application and resume are submitted. If your completed application is submitted after the deadline, your application may not be considered until the next semester. 

You will receive a confirmation e-mail within 3 business days of application submission. If you do not receive a confirmation, contact the CHC Student Staff Coordinator.

Depending on the number of qualified applicants and the number of positions available, you may be placed on a waiting list. If positions become available, we will contact applicants on the waiting list first.  If you have any questions about the CHC paid student employment, contact the CHC Student Staff Coordinator.
