Distinguished Alumna Lori McAdams

Lori McAdams "83 is the Vice President, Human Resources and Administration at Pixar Animation Studios.  McAdams oversees the full range of H.R. functions including Talent Acquisition, Pixar University, Compensation, Wellness and Benefits, Employee Relations and Development, Policies and Compliance, Community Outreach and Safety & Security.  As a member of Pixar’s Executive Team, she participates in leading the studio in its every day and long-term business operations.  McAdams holds a credit on a number of Pixar’s films including Academy Award® winning features “Coco,” “Inside Out,” “The Incredibles,” “Ratatouille,” “WALLŸE,” “Up,” “Toy Story 3,” and “Brave.”

 Previously McAdams held the role of Director of Human Resources at Lucasfilm Ltd. (1984-1998) and Electronic Arts (1998-2003.)  Combined, Lori has over 30 years of experience leading human resource departments.

 McAdams is a proud graduate of California State University, Chico where she received her Bachelors degree in Communications.  She received a Masters in Human Resources and Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco.  She attributes much of her CSU Chico University Housing experience as a Resident Advisor as the start to her career in human resources and her passion for leading and mentoring.

 McAdams has been married to fellow Chico alum Danny McAdams for 32 years and they live in Lafayette, CA.  They have three adult children, Jonathan (CSU, Chico graduate), Justin and Meghan, two daughters-in-law, Sara (CSU, Chico graduate) and Stephanie, and one granddaughter Madison.
