Our campus is nestled in the heart of downtown Chico where students enjoy music venues, a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, and unique stores. The city of Chico is conveniently located within a manageable drive of some of the most breath-taking California destinations. Within just a few hours, students can find solace in the forests of Lake Tahoe or Yosemite. For a taste of city life, they can visit Sacramento, our state capital, or San Francisco. Weekend trips to Southern California to visit Los Angeles or San Diego are completely doable. In the other direction, the Oregon border is just a half a day away. Students at Chico State get the best of both worlds– small town charm and all of the adventures our Golden State has to offer.
