Here in the College of Communication and Education, we want to make sure that you are prepared and ready to go for upcoming semesters during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here are some important deadlines, due dates, and tasks to keep in mind.

Important Due Dates and Deadlines

  • September 6 - Labor Day


  • October 25 - Withdrawals after this date will not receive any financial credit for refund
  • October 25-November 19 - Continuing Student Registration


  • November 1-January 3 - Winter session 2022 registration period for courses offered through Regional and Continuing Education.
  • November 11 - Veterans Day
  • November 12 - Last day to drop classes with a serious and compelling reason with approval of instructor, chair, and dean
  • November 15-December 10 - Dropping classes permitted only because of verifiable serious illness or accident with approval of instructor, chair, and dean
  • November 22-26 - Fall/Thanksgiving Break
  • November 29 - Last day for master’s degree candidates to take oral or comprehensive exams; submit thesis or terminal project; and submit final progress sheet to Graduate Studies


  • December 10 - Winter Session Fee Payment Deadline.
  • December 13-17 - Final Exam Week. See Final Examination Schedule in Portal.
  • December 13-22 - Fall semester grade submission period. Grades are due by December 22.
  • December 20-January 21 - Winter Break
  • December 31 - New Years Day (observed)
