Communication Studies

Millie Meldrum

  • MA (2015) – Communication Studies, CSU Chico
  • BA (2013) – Communication Studies: Public Affairs, CSU Chico

I started my position at CSU, Chico in 2015 after graduating from the Communication Studies Graduate Program. While I was earning my MA, I was a Graduate Teaching Associate and grew to love working with college students. I find it extremely rewarding to not only observe, but to also help my students navigate this liminal moment of their lives.

Learning to find a balance between newfound freedom and the responsibilities of being a student and an adult citizen is different for everyone. My enthusiasm for this crucial period of change and growth is what sparked my interest in instructional communication. Particularly, how students communicate learning through experiential pedagogical practices.
