Biz Talks
Biz Talks is a speaker-series event created by the students of California State University, Chico’s business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi. Eight speakers give short, inspirational talks to share their experiences, strategies for success, and motivation with current business students. The students even have the chance to interact and build connections with the speakers after the event. The speakers chosen for this event are some of CSU, Chico’s most successful alumni.
Initially, Biz Talks was created to help business students choose a business option and get inspired about their career possibilities. Over the past two years, Biz Talks’ mission has expanded. The event has become a great opportunity for students to network with alumni, while at the same time an opportunity for alumni to connect with their alma mater and give back.
After receiving such positive feedback from past speakers, the two Co-Founders behind the event, Sean Woulfe and Kiaya Sabolovic, decided to take it even further by launching their own website biztalks.co and blog to bring Biz Talks to other college campuses.
The College of Business is always looking for the next group of alumni business leaders who can offer their wisdom in the classroom. Watch some of the Biz Talks online and learn more about Executives on Campus – and please get in touch if you have an interest in supporting these events in the future.
