DataFest 2020 has been cancelled.

In accordance with recommendations from the California Department of Public Health, we are implementing enhanced measures to protect the well-being of the campus community and the public.

The American Statistical Association (ASA) DataFest is a celebration of data in which teams of undergraduates work around the clock to find and share meaning in a large, rich, and complex data set.

The Center for Enterprise Systems and Informatics Research (CESIR) and Data Science Initiative (DSI) invite you to participate this year's DataFest 2020 competition at CSU, Chico. Teams of two-to-five are given large and complex datasets and have less than 48 hours to glean the best insights and present them to the audience. This event is a nationwide event with 61 universities participating. External sponsors and mentors will be visiting throughout the day. 

Teams that impresses the judges will win prizes!

All majors are encouraged, with some of the best teams including non-programming majors! Food and fun will be provided!
