Looking for real life experiences?

Take part in one of our professional sales competitions! Competitions will push your personal and professional development to new levels. Not only will these competitions help refine your professional sales skills and knowledge, they will also help you get noticed by recruiters. Students in the Seufferlein Sales Program have the opportunity to participate in all of the competitions listed below.


If you are interested in gaining skills in a real world setting,  here is the interest to compete link. These role plays also put you in the line of site for our 39+ corporate partners who are looking at you for internships and post graduated roles.

Sweet 16 Sales Competition Logo

Overview

The Sweet 16 Sales Challenge is a local sales competition that takes place during the fall semester. The competition is open to all students regardless of grade, classes completed, or experience. During the semester, students compete in a series of role plays that utilize cases provided by  Corporate Partners.

In mid-October, the top students compete in a live role-play event judged by Corporate Partners. The Sweet 16 Sales Challenge is accompanied by the Sweet 16 Networking Event, and a formal dinner event. This year- for the first time ever- parents of the student competitors will be invited to watch and attend the formal dinner event!

Here is a recap of our 2022 Sweet 16 Sales Competition

This year we had 54 student competitors which is the biggest internal competition we have ever thus far!

We want to thank AT&T for being our product sponsor and for all our amazing buyers!

Also a thank you to E. & J. Gallo Winery for being our dinner sponsor, providing us with some of their wonderful products.

We gave away $15,500 in total prize money as the total amount was raised throughout the competition due to the high level of effort and talent from our students!

We cannot wait to continue to grow, learn, and advance our skills!

Overview

The CSU Sales Competition is a sales competition that features competitors from all over the state of California. This event will be virtual this year. Students will be selected by Competition Lead, Christian Neiswonger.

Students interested in competing should reach out to Christian at  cneiswonger@csuchico.edu.

The CSU Sales Competition will occur on November 3rd, 2022.

Overview

The Western States Collegiate Sales Competition is our largest event of the year, and features schools from the Western United States competing against each other in both team and individual sales competitions. The top students from Chico State will go to head-to-head with the toughest competition around! In 2022, the Seufferlein Sales Program awarded $20,000 to the winners of this competition alone. Students will be selected by Competition Lead, Christian Neiswonger.

We wanted to thank all participating schools, it’s always great to meet new people, have new experiences, and learn from others!

CSSI Sales Competition Logo

Overview

The Chico State Sales Invitational (CSSI) is an energetic and exciting opportunity for all students, regardless of experience! Students are encouraged to compete even if they have never taken a sales course. Students compete in brackets based on their class standing and experience. Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors are all welcome! Compete for a chance at prize money, attention from Corporate Partners (giving out internships and jobs), and connections with other students.

The Chico State Sales Invitational date is happening on April 28th, 2023.

Friday, April 28th:

  • 7:00 am to 7:45 am - Kickoff

  • 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm - Lunch 
  • 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm - Winners Announcement
