Chico State's 2024 McGowan Sales Invitational Recap:
Fall has arrived, and we've just concluded our most successful McGowan Sales
Invitational yet! This two-day competition featured over 100 students and allowed them to make valuable relationships with our Corporate Sponsors, gain first-hand experience in the sales world, and win some rewards. This year's prize pool totaled $12,000!
Our harvest-themed dinner was a culinary highlight, featuring locally sourced ingredients from our University Farm and the Chico Meat Lab. The BMU staff and catering team outdid themselves with a truly delicious meal. We extend our sincere gratitude toGALLOfor sponsoring the cocktail hour and for their ongoing support.
We were honored to welcome Chico State President,Steve Perez, the Dean of the College of Business,Suzanne Zivnuska, and Chico Chamber of Commerce President, Mike Egbert to this year's dinner. Their presence underscored the community's commitment to student success.
A special thanks toPapé GroupandCintasfor sponsoring the competition. This was our first-ever joint Corporate Sponsor team competition and it was a great success.
Lastly, we want to give a big shoutout to our student staff. We could not have pulled off this event without their dedication and hard work, under the exceptional leadership of our new managers,Finn BlackerandNatalie Bourn

Chico State's 2024 CSSI Sales Competition Recap:
With the end of the semester in sight, we wrapped up our last annual sales competition, the Chico State Sales Invitational. CSSI is a Hawaiian-themed competition that is an excellent opportunity for students, regardless of sales experience, to expand their skills before the end of the year.
This year, we had a fantastic turnout of students and corporate sponsors. We kicked the morning off in true Hawaiian fashion with açaí bowls and spam musubi. After roleplays concluded, we gathered under the gorgeous sunny skies and indulged in a Hawaiian-inspired luncheon with a roasted pig, sushi, sticky rice, and much more.
We cannot thank Lambda Pi Alumni enough for their continuous support and sponsorship of this competition and the program as a whole. Without partners like them, this program would not thrive like it does. We would also like to thank Gallo, who truly outdid themselves by sponsoring this competition as well. Mahalo!!
