COVID-19 Exposure: What to do
This is the text description for the flowcharts that appear on the COVID-19 Response Protocols page.
If You Are Experiencing COVID-19 Symptoms
Call the COVID-19 Hotline when you have COVID-like symptoms, have had close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, and/or you have tested positive for COVID-19
Note: Keep your instructors and/or manager informed of your status.
If you are experiencing COVID-19 Symptoms:
- Do not come to campus
- Call the COVID-19 Hotline at 530-898-2222
- Employees should also contact their healthcare provider and get tested.
- Students should also call the WellCat Health Center at 530-898-5241 to get tested.
- Quarantine until test results
- Call the COVID-19 Hotline at 530-898-2222 to report results.
- If negative, follow normal sick leave practices until feeling better.
- If positive, isolate as directed. If symptoms have resolved, get tested after 5 days. (Get a supervised test. Antigen/rapid test is preferred.)
- If negative, return to normal activities.
- If positive, continue to isolate as directed.
Close Contact Exposure Without COVID-19 Symptoms
Call the COVID-19 Hotline when you have COVID-like symptoms, have had close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, and/or you have tested positive for COVID-19
If you have close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 but you do not have symptoms:
- Call the COVID-19 Hotline at 530-898-2222.
- Continue to work and monitor for symptoms. Wear a face mask for 10 days from the date of last contact.
- Get tested 3–5 days after exposure. Report your results to the COVID-19 Hotline at 530-898-2222.
- If positive, isolate as directed.
- If negative, return to normal activities.
