May 21st Deadline Approaching for Emergency Student Grant Applications

The window for Emergency Student Grant Applications is now closed.

Announced: May 18, 2020, 7:15 a.m.

To: Students

From: Financial Aid and Scholarship Office

All currently enrolled undergraduate, graduate, and professional students who did not receive Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act aid from Chico State for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19—or those who need additional aid—have only a few days to apply for an emergency student grant.

These financial aid grants are available to qualifying students to help cover COVID-19-related expenses for food, housing, course materials, technology, healthcare, childcare expenses, and other expenses caused by the disruption to campus operations.

The simple, online application is available in your Student Center. You will not need to print or scan documents to apply.

Applications will be reviewed as soon as possible for potential award—with funds going to those students with the greatest need. Equity in aid distribution is a priority for the University in awarding these funds to help impacted students. Before submitting an Emergency Student Grant application, you should update and verify your local address and direct deposit information in your Student Center.
