Coronavirus/COVID-19 Information

COVID-19 Update for March 20

March 20 update includes details on employee access to campus, paycheck pickup, mail services, and Meriam Library virtual tools.

Employee Access to Campus through Tuesday, March 24

Governor Newsomissued a stay-at-home directive(opens in new window)yesterday for the entire state of California with no specific end date. The University knows employees have questions about what the order means to them in regard to their access to campus—especially because it came without much warning and there are employees who weren't able to collect their essential work-related supplies that they'll need for working remotely.

Chico State is allowing employees, including student employees, to return to their offices from 8a.m.–5p.m. through the end of business Tuesday (5 p.m.), March 24 to gather their essential work-related supplies. We ask that anyone visiting campus practice proper social distancing.

Please plan on not being able to access your office for up to and beyond the next two months. After Tuesday, March 24, only personnel designated to be on campus will have building access. For questions about accessing buildings, please call 530-898-3906.

Payroll and Reimbursement Check Pickup

The campus would like to mail state pay warrant and reimbursement checks to intended recipients. Please email if you would like your pay warrant or reimbursement check mailed to you, as we need your authorization and mailing address. If you already have direct deposit, no further action is required.

Alternatively, limited pick-up will be available March 25 and 30, and April 1, 8, and 15 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.mCheck pick-up will be conducted as a drive-up service at the temporary vehicle pick-up/drop-off location outside the Student Services Center, near the intersection of Second and Ivy Streets. Please bring a photo ID to claim your check. All other time reporting and payroll processing will follow normal campus and auxiliary procedures. Payroll will communicate additional information about payroll timelines to department HR liaisons.

We'll share details about future pick-up dates as they are determined. Please continue to check your email and the campus COVID-19 FAQs for details.
