Angie Hensley

LMFT, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

PhD candidate, California Institute of Integral Studies

I am interested in supporting students in cultivating embodiment, mindfulness, resiliency, emotional literacy, relational satisfaction, and whole person wellness. I see therapy as a place to learn how to hold all the dark and hard stuff alongside the joy and meaning in life. I am particularly helpful to students who have a history of trauma, struggle with existential angst, stress, anxiety, obsessions or compulsions, sexuality, sexual orientation, gender identity, and folx who identify as non-conformist.

In my free time I like to read books, garden, practice herbalism, hike, do yoga, cook vegetarian food, meditate, listen to music, hula hoop, dance, and star gaze. I love thinking about how to apply social permaculture principles to co-create the more beautiful world my heart knows is possible with other social change enthusiasts. I'm interested in restorative justice and other community led approaches to addressing conflict and harm.

My training includes: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic Psychotherapy, Psychoanalysis
