Support and Advisory Groups
College Advisor and Retention Specialists (CARS)
The College Advising & Retention Specialists (CARS) group meets twice a month and their role varies by college. At the core, the CARS position supports faculty in the use of E-Advising tools and advising best practices; acts as a single point of contact and support for advising-related policies and procedures; and facilitates assessment of college-wide advising goals. Additionally, the CARS serve as a liaison to centralized Academic Advising and generate reports for advisors, chairs, and/or deans to inform retention and student success efforts.
