WebEdge Science recently featured the Soil Carbon Accrual Project, a Chico State Center for Regenerative Agriculture and Resilient Systems initiative. The project measures the effect of regenerative agriculture on soil carbon in multiple locations over multiple years using flux tower technology. Professors Cindy Daley and Garrett Liles from the College of Agriculture, and associate professor Sandrine Matiasek from the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences speak to the project’s value locally and globally.

A woman in a green field is bent over a piece of machinery used to measure carbon in the soil. There are big, puffy clouds overhead. Other scientists are standing in the field behind her.
