Dick Cluster is the author of the novels Return to Sender, Repulse Monkey, andObligations of the Bone as well as (with Rafael Hernández) History of Havana, a social history of the Cuban capital. He has translated a wide range of contemporary Cuban fiction writers including Raúl Águiar, Aida Bahr, Josefina de Diego, Pedro de Jesús, Mylene Fernández, Leonardo Padura, Abel Prieto, and Mirta Yáñez, as well as writing from Mexico, South America, and Spain.
Cluster is an old hand at translation and has worked with many authors to render their literary expression into comparable works of art in English.
