Agricultural Markets and Pricing (ABUS 311) is a required course for Agricultural Business majors and a popular elective among students majoring in Animal Science and Agricultural Education and Communication in the College of Agriculture. It covers the functions, structure, and operations of agricultural markets, as well as current trends in the marketing of California’s agricultural crops and livestock.
The CURE-E supports student learning outcomes in the following ways:
- Build knowledge and skills related to agricultural commodity and specialty crop markets and supply chains
- Conduct professional, evidence-based market research within the context of these markets and supply chains
- Identify key industry issues and develop relevant recommendations or solutions for stakeholders, including farmers, agriculture and food businesses, and policymakers.
