Degree Audit Programming, colloquially called "D-GAP", works behind the scenes providing technical tools to ensure students, staff, and faculty have timely and accurate information regarding student progress toward program completion.

ROAR Tools:
ROAR allows students to streamline the process of registering for classes by planning their term ahead of time, and scheduling out the class sections they want. Expand sections below to learn more about each step.

The Degree Planner tool allows you to build a custom graduation plan that is unique to your declared programs and preferred unit load.
- A-Arrange your semester schedule in Schedule Builder
The Schedule Builder tool helps you build a schedule of classes that accommodates your life outside of school.
- R-Register for courses from your Shopping Cart
The Shopping Cart allows you to import and save your preferred courses in advance of registration, making it quick and easy to enroll when your specific registration appointment opens.

Degree Audit Programming supports a variety of tools and services for students, faculty, advisors, and other staff. Expand sections below to learn more about each tool or service.
- Degree Progress Report (DPR)
Check your progress toward your degree requirements, including General Education, Major, minor, certificate, and credential requirements. Some courses can fulfill multiple requirements. Courses transferred in from other institutions need to be articulated and matched to Chico courses to fulfill requirements.
Planned Courses DPR - A version of the Degree Progress Report that displays courses you have planned in Degree Planner.
- Degree Planner
The Degree Planner tool allows you to build a custom graduation plan that is unique to your declared programs and preferred unit load.
Plan out which courses you'll take each semester to reach your degree objective. This tool considers when classes are typically offered and expresses course sequencing and pre-requisites. Indicate Summer course offerings.
Planned Courses DPR - A version or the Degree Progress Report that displays courses you have planned in Degree Planner.

- Schedule Builder
Once you've decided which courses you'll take this semester, they can be loaded into Schedule Builder and compared to the Class Schedule for that semester. You can choose between different sections of classes, and block out time for work, rest, and other activities. When you're satisfied with a schedule, the classes can be loaded into the Shopping Cart, ready for your registration appointment.
- Academic Progress
These pages, available in the Academic Progress menu of Student Center, will help students get a full picture of the classes they have taken and transfer credit that can be applied toward their degree progress. Students can explore other majors and request a change of major.
What-If reports - Ability to choose another major/minor/certificate, and run a DPR against it, to see how your classes would fulfil those requirements.

Explore Pathway minor - Students can declare a Pathway minor using this page in Student Center
Plan Change Form - Use this tool to produce a PDF form that will need to be routed for signatures and submitted to the Office of the Registrar for processing.
Course List - All courses Taken, In Progress, In Shopping Cart, or Planned, with grades and term.
Grades - Displays the grades of all classes by term. Also gives access to the Incomplete Grade Agreement for a class where an "I" grade was placed.
Withdrawal/Repeats - The CSU system has limits on the number of times certain courses can be repeated, and an upper limit of the total number of units that can come from repeated classes. Check the Records and Registration site for more information.
Transfer Credit Report - The Transfer Credit Report provides a detailed record of how external coursework is evaluated and applied toward degree requirements at Chico State.
Graduation Information - A general status page that lists your plans (majors), GPA, graduation application status, and the status of any Advisor Requests that have been made.
Apply for Graduation - Ask Graduation Advising to review your record to make sure you are on track to fulfill all graduation requirements. They can help with articulating transfer credit, double-counting classes, etc. This is different than applying to be in the Commencement Ceremony.

Staff can submit a security ticket to request access to the following advising pages in PeopleSoft:
Advisor Request - Advisor submits request to Graduation Advising for any needed updates to a student's Degree Progress Report (course directives, substitutions)

Advisor Center / Advisee Student Center - Use these pages within Peoplesoft to view student information, including the student's Degree Progress Report, grades, unofficial transcript, ...
Student Center View Advisees - See the Student Center as the student does, including their Degree Progress Report, Degree Planner, and Schedule Builder.
Instructor/Advisor table and Student Advisor page - Use these pages in PeopleSoft to mark staff as an Advisor, and assign Advisors or Committee to a student.
Data and Reports - Request access to data and reports, including Degree Planner analytics, and Cognos Reports by submitting a ticket.
